1.# Climate change
Some unknown effects from daily life are:-
a.Oceans have absorbed much more of increased heat with top 700m(above 2,300 ft.)of ocean showing warming of more than 0.4 degree Fahrenheit since 1969
b.Extreme events
c.Sea level rise
d.Ocean acidification
e.Habitat change
f.Glacier retreat
g,Antarctic ice shelf mass loss
2.#Global warming
Global warming is a major aspect of climate change and has been demonstrated by direct temperature measurements and by its various effects of the warming.Current warming trend is of particular significance because most of it is extremely likely(greater than 95 % probability) to be result of human activity.
In October 2018,the IPCC(The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) issued a special report on the impacts of global warming of 1.5 degree centigrade.
3.#Mental stress
Globally, an estimated 264 million people suffer from depression, one of the leading causes of disability, with many of these people also suffering from symptoms of anxiety. A recent WHO-led study estimates that depression and anxiety disorders cost the global economy US$ 1 trillion each year in lost productivity.
The 66th World Health Assembly, consisting of Ministers of Health of 194 Member States, adopted the WHO’s Comprehensive Mental Health Action Plan 2013-2020 in May 2013
4.#Unhealthy food habits
a.Junk foods
b.Fast foods
Junk foods are processed foods consisting of high calories, but that is considered only as a broad umbrella. These foods are prepared in a way that they look appealing and are enjoyable so you are chemically programmed to ask for more.
In the last decades, there have been substantial increases in mean body weight in wealthy countries. Such changes accompanied dramatic transformations in people’s dietary patterns, most notably an increase in the consumption of ultra-processed foods, including fast food, herein defined as “food that can be prepared quickly and easily and is sold in restaurants and snack bars as a quick meal or to be taken out”.
These food leads to various kinds of diseases.Scientists say junk food can damage memory too.1 in 5 global deaths are now due to a poor diet and we don't eat enough healthy food.
5.#Plastics
Plastic waste is now so omnipresent in the natural environment that scientists have even suggested it could serve as a geological indicator of the Anthropocene era.Only 9% of all plastic waste ever produced has been recycled. About 12% has been incinerated, while the rest — 79% — has accumulated in landfills, dumps or the natural environment.
Cigarette butts — whose filters contain tiny plastic fibres — were the most common type of plastic waste found in the environment in a recent global survey. Drink bottles, bottle caps, food wrappers, grocery bags, drink lids, straws and stirrers were the next most common items.Plastic waste — whether in a river, an ocean, or on land — can persist in the environment for centuries. If current trends continue, our oceans could contain more plastic than fish by 2050.
