Soon after his mysterious death(pus and dark blood clots with foul smell oozing form his body at the time of death), the stone of "ill omen" was passed to his son as a legacy. But the same series of painful seizures followed by spontaneous death of members and misfortunes continued in his family... Being a gemstone lover, I enjoy collecting varieties of gems. No! I don't adore them just because of so-called "Fortune Boosters" myth but their sparkling shiny colour and perfect shape mesmerise me. Lastly I wore a red coral for half a decade and recently I have added a fine piece of green emerald on the list. On course of collecting gems and learning about them, I have seen numerous real-life mysteriously miraculous effect of gems on one's fate. Few turned from rags to riches in no time and for some, their life just turned worst than hell.
Big-B, Amitabh Bachchan whose empire in bollywood is well-known all round the globe, was once a complete failure! His father then got him to wear a blue sapphire gem, which was passed as a legacy in their family. Boom! then so-called fate kissed his foot! Now everyone's logical brain might interrupt," Hey! Bill Gates uses no gems...",sorry I am unable to satiate your enquiry!
Shall I share about the most evil gemstone in human history? It was back then in 2071, we were on a tour,an aged street vendor(selling bangles) at Siliguri, a city in West Bengal had shared this folk tale with me, though not in such detailed manner but he had introduced the name of this gem.The old man recited few verses after sharing the tale(for protection,he said then).Later, I confirmed this tale in web portals.
Even its name is so dreadful "Raktambari Neelam"(Khooni Neelam). Its a blue sapphire with bloody colour inter-mixed. Blue sapphire itself is considered most dangerous gem, tales of users dying within hours of wearing(without proper consultation) it are prevalent in folk tales. So, I don't opt even few in millions would desire to wear the bloody one.
Back in the 1880's, an officer from Bengal state of Britain colonized Bharat, embezzled a Khooni Neelam and fled to Britain. May be the same "Fortune-booster" myth had ridden his mind. Within few days his life was full of misfortunes and misery. He lost most of his possessions and got severely ill.Soon after his mysterious death, the stone was passed to his son as a legacy. The son realized something was wrong with that gem so he gifted it to his friend. How could someone think of gifting an article of misfortune rather than disposing it somewhere!
To his surprise, in just three days that friend who was a healthy and well established man, committed suicide for no reason and the gem was again returned back to him by the friend's family. These series of bizzare and evil events continued . Somewhere in 1890's , Richard Allen the last owner of the evil gem, fed up with indescribable miseries and losses threw it in Regent's canal.
Again a sailor recovered it from the canal and sold it to a collector. The collector somehow learnt about the ill effects of the gem and returned back the gem to Richard.Richard was all depressed to get that evil article back.He finally deposited that evil stone in a bank, locked in about seven thick boxes bounded with holy chantings and a hand written note about its evil effects. He even stated that the box should only be unlocked at least three years after his death.
Later his daughter handed the gem to Natural History Museum with Richards hand written note and still it is kept in the very museum.Even today visitors in the museum don't dare to glare at the evil gem directly;they just make a quick indirect glance and move on. But other legends state very few human with unique astro combination of planets in their birth chart can enjoy the blessings of Khooni Neelam!
